Your Children’s Activity.

Children's Activity

Parents, we all know how difficult this year has been, totally unprecedented! We are not back running Stretch-n-Grow to its full capacity yet as some settings are awaiting further guidance. However, we wanted to know about your child’s activity.

All our activity levels are down from what they would normally be. But we wanted to know how active your child is now and how active they have been since lockdown. Have you managed to get out much? Have you had a kick about? Or have you done any structured exercise with your children over the past few months? Please complete the survey Link Below)

Upon completion, if you would like a Stretch-n-Grow T shirt for your child, please let us know email with your details sizes [email protected] For more information on all our programmes Click Here

Your child’s activity levels play a crucial role in their physical health, cognitive development, and emotional well-being. Understanding and supporting their natural energy levels can help them thrive in daily life.

1. What Determines a Child’s Activity Level?

  • Temperament & Personality – Some children are naturally more energetic, while others prefer quieter activities.
  • Age & Developmental Stage – Toddlers tend to be highly active, while older children may engage in more structured movement.
  • Environment & Lifestyle – Access to outdoor spaces, sports, and family habits influence activity levels.

2. Benefits of Regular Physical Activity

  • Improves Physical Health – Strengthens muscles, bones, and cardiovascular health.
  • Enhances Cognitive Function – Boosts memory, focus, and problem-solving skills.
  • Supports Emotional Well-being – Reduces stress, improves mood, and builds confidence.
  • Encourages Social Skills – Helps children develop teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.

3. How to Encourage Healthy Activity Levels

  • Provide Opportunities for Movement – Encourage outdoor play, sports, and active games.
  • Limit Screen Time – Balance sedentary activities with physical movement.
  • Make Exercise Fun – Dance, obstacle courses, and interactive games keep kids engaged.
  • Support Individual Preferences – Some children enjoy structured sports, while others prefer free play.

Please complete our survey . Thank you for your help!
