How to help with children’s mental health.
Children’s mental health is very important to us at Stretch-n-Grow. Here are some suggestions on how to assist.
- Lead by example,
- Be a role model for your children.
- Be positive, be confident and make positive choices.
- Respond calmly (even when emotions are running high):
- Forgive, no point in hanging on to negative energy.
- Have Boundaries or make boundaries, children need them and will learn to respect them. Give Hugs, praise and encouragement. Have a playtime, children learn from play.
- Be there for them be present.
- Do Yoga or do relaxation sessions together.
- Take Physical Exercise regularly those endorphins will flow;
- Love and Share emotions,
- Be Patient,
- Be a good listener.
- Limit computer or gaming screen time.Â
- Schedule family time and events.
- Always tell the truth.
- Be fair and consistent, don’t chop & change.
- Lastly, believe in them.
