How to help with children’s mental health.

Children’s mental health is very important to us at Stretch-n-Grow. Here are some suggestions on how to assist.

  • Lead by example,
  • Be a role model for your children.
  • Be positive, be confident and make positive choices.
  • Respond calmly (even when emotions are running high):
  • Forgive, no point in hanging on to negative energy.
  • Have Boundaries or make boundaries, children need them and will learn to respect them. Give Hugs, praise and encouragement. Have a playtime, children learn from play.
  • Be there for them be present.
  • Do Yoga or do relaxation sessions together.
  • Take Physical Exercise regularly those endorphins will flow;
  • Love and Share emotions,
  • Be Patient,
  • Be a good listener.
  • Limit computer or gaming screen time. 
  • Schedule family time and events.
  • Always tell the truth.
  • Be fair and consistent, don’t chop & change.
  • Lastly, believe in them.
